FlightFabric 0.13.1 is out. This one gives spoken feedback a less memory hungry default, separates cockpit lighting adjustment from display brightness adjustment in the presets, and sorts out a few awkward bits of the controls.

Spoken feedback without quite so much RAM
New voice setups now start with Windows TTS by default. It works offline and uses less memory than Kokoro’s neural voices.
If you already use Kokoro, your chosen engine and voice stay as they are. It’s still there if you prefer how it sounds, and it works offline too.
You can choose and test both options under Settings → Voice → Configure → Recognition & spoken feedback. That section now sits below the microphone controls.
A few cockpit changes
- Brightness presets: cockpit lighting and flight displays can be adjusted separately on supported aircraft. You can still use the individual dimmers.
- CDU: there’s now one appearance instead of a theme selector.
- PMDG: the 737 reminds you to put the cockpit speed window in Mach mode before setting a Mach target.
- Toolbar: Flight, Plan and Voice stay on the tab bar. Your preferred opening tab is still remembered.
Saying “Let’s hit it” now runs the full takeoff-lighting preset on supported aircraft.
How to update
Finish your flight, then check Settings → About for the update. Alternatively, choose Quit FlightFabric from the system tray and run the Windows installer. Your settings and recordings stay in place. Versions 0.12.1 and earlier need the manual installer.
To update the MSFS toolbar, close MSFS, open Settings → Devices → MSFS 2024 toolbar panel, choose Update or Reinstall, then restart the simulator.
