What’s new
UI Improvements
Open a flight in Logbook and select an event on desktop. The details open underneath it, so you can still see the events around it and the replay map. Choose Hide details or press Escape when you’re done. Even after a long detail panel, the event heading stays in view.
Click a map marker and the list scrolls to that event and highlights it. You can then open its details. If your filter would normally hide the event, it appears temporarily with a note explaining why.
Scored landing history is now above the flight workspace. You no longer have to scroll past the events and map to find it. For the selected flight, Landing debrief opens its latest full review; closing it takes you back to the same flight.
Clearer scoring and filter controls
Use Compare scoring rules to see how your flight would be assessed under the latest scoring rules before deciding whether to save the updated results. The Saved indicator confirms when the results have been saved.
The filters are now labelled more clearly: Filter event list controls which events appear in the list, while Map events controls what’s shown on the map. Both indicate when event types are hidden.
More reliable 3D imagery and terrain
In 3D, map imagery now refreshes after you resize the window or finish moving the camera. Images that fail can retry, and slow ones appear once they’ve loaded.
Detailed terrain should also stay visible more reliably as you zoom in. It still depends on the elevation data available so the ground you see here may differ from the airport surface in MSFS.
How to update
Finish your flight and close FlightFabric, then download and run the installer from the Windows download page. Your settings and recordings stay in their current locations.
If you use the FlightFabric toolbar panel, close MSFS and choose Update or Reinstall in Settings > MSFS 2024 toolbar panel, then restart the simulator. Refreshing a connected browser alone does not update the desktop app or the installed panel.
FlightFabric remains a public alpha with incomplete aircraft support. The installer is unsigned, so Windows may show a protection warning; the installation guide explains what to expect. 3D maps remain optional and depend on compatible graphics support and online imagery and terrain services.
