FlightFabric 0.10.0: 3D maps, an in-sim toolbar panel and a clearer Logbook

There’s quite a bit in FlightFabric 0.10.0. You can explore flights in 3D, open a FlightFabric panel inside MSFS and use a remote CDU on supported aircraft. Also reorganised the Logbook, added shareable landing debriefs, and introduced experimental Autotaxi.

What’s new

Finding your way around the app and Logbook

Aircraft controls are grouped by cockpit system, with Presets kept together and secondary tools on the Aircraft page.

In the Logbook, route and airport search stay visible, sorting and aircraft filters sit together, and the flight rows are now more compact. Open a saved flight to check its events, replay the route or choose Landing debrief.

End Flight Manually now works more reliably with both a mouse and touch. It shows when the flight is saving and ignores repeated presses during the save. Recording status panels close when the recording ends or the connection drops.

Explore flights in 3D

Switch the live map or a recorded flight to 3D to view terrain and an altitude coloured track. You can choose different camera views, and the lighting changes with simulator’s clock. Prefer the 2D map? It’s still there, and you can turn off online imagery and terrain in Settings.

FlightFabric inside MSFS

The optional toolbar panel puts your SimBrief plan, available voice commands and questions, push-to-talk status, flight information and last landing inside MSFS.

Install it from Settings > MSFS 2024 toolbar panel. It reconnects when FlightFabric is available, and you can adjust its text size, theme and density.

Remote CDU and experimental Autotaxi

Open Aircraft > MCDU / CDU for PMDG 737/777 and FlyByWire A32NX displays and keys. Fenix aircraft use their own web MCDU. The panel’s Help control has the setup instructions. Integrated CDU keys also work on paired devices with aircraft-control access, with layouts for phone and landscape screens.

You’ll find experimental Autotaxi under Aircraft > Taxi. It’s available for compatible Generic aircraft, PMDG 737/777 and Fenix A319/A320/A321 when their readiness checks pass. Preview the route to a runway holding point or stand before starting, watch progress in 2D or 3D, and use Stop when needed.

Sharing a debrief and other changes

Use Copy image or Save PNG to share a landing summary. Touchdown-position feedback now takes runway length into account and separates measured results, optional targets and operational cautions. This release also adds SimBrief voice questions and exterior light presets, explains spoken feedback errors more clearly, and fixes supported APU and target controls, recording controls and connection recovery.

Known limitations

Autotaxi is experimental. Controls across the listed aircraft is incomplete, and routes depend on the airport scenery’s taxiway data.

How to update

After your flight, close FlightFabric. Download the current installer from the Windows download page, run it and follow the setup steps. Then start FlightFabric with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 running. If you already use the FlightFabric toolbar panel, close MSFS and choose Update or Reinstall in Settings > MSFS 2024 toolbar panel, then restart the simulator. The full 0.10.0 release notes remain available for reference.

FlightFabric remains a free public alpha, so expect bugs and incomplete aircraft support. The installer is not code signed yet, so Windows may show a red “Windows protected your PC” screen. Select More info, check that the app is FlightFabric.Setup.0.10.0.exe downloaded from the official link, then select Run anyway. If Windows reports a virus or offers no Run anyway option, stop and report the exact warning rather than turning off SmartScreen or antivirus.
